About the Hub

The Nonprofit Legal Hub is a collaborative initiative to help Vermont nonprofits understand and meet their legal needs, and to build the capacity of Vermont's legal community to serve them.

We grew out of a simple observation: nonprofits consistently face legal challenges, from bylaws and board governance to employment, contracts, and compliance, and most have no reliable way to get answers.

The Hub helps organizations seeking those answers connect with attorneys best equipped to address them. For nonprofits, we offer education, resources, and a path to qualified counsel. For attorneys, we offers training, continuing legal education, and a way to put nonprofit expertise to use.

The Hub is a collaboration among the organizations below, with United Way of Northwest Vermont serving as fiscal sponsor.
